Step 1 of 8
What forensics is
Looking at what is there, not what should be
Digital forensics is the discipline of examining computers, files and networks to figure out what happened. An analyst does not guess. They read what the system already recorded and follow it wherever it leads.
In this lab, every challenge hides a flag inside a piece of evidence. A flag looks like this: froga{ followed by some characters and a closing brace }. Your job is to find it using the investigation tools provided.
Each challenge gives you a different kind of evidence and a different hiding technique. The flag is always there. The question is whether you can see past the noise and find it.
Everything here is simulated. There are no real systems, no real credentials, and nothing to break. The skills transfer directly: every technique you learn is what a real analyst uses on a real incident.
